Winemaker’s Background
Our special guest, Emmanuel Kemiji, is the brain child behind Miura. Miura produces wines from some of the most prized vineyards California has to offer such as the Pisoni, Hirsh, Hudson and Talley Vineyards.
Emmanuel is trained as a sommelier, with a degree in Viticulture and Oenology from U.C. Davis, and with the distinction of being only the 13th U.S. citizen to become a Master Sommelier and one of only seven ever to pass the exam on his first try. Emmanuel is a consultant to Aqua and Gary Danko in San Francisco. He was also the wine Director of the Ritz Calton.
